Case Study Challenge
Prior to the global pandemic, CAE Healthcare was relying heavily on physical patient simulations for training medical and healthcare professionals on patient care techniques. During the pandemic, most classrooms were suddenly required to go online, forcing CAE to rapidly shift from physical to digital simulations in order to offer remote training options via web and holoLense VR. This required a massive increase in the amount of data being collected, processed and stored. Naturally a shift to the cloud made sense and the expertise of LefeWare Solutions was sought out to help with the transition.

LefeWare Solutions Added Value
LefeWare Solutions was brought in due to their teams deep expertise of various cloud platforms. Ultimately the decision was made to use Azure Cloud as it was already being leveraged by the CAE parent aviation company. LefeWare Solutions’ team provided both backend and frontend software development services as well as architectural guidance on which Azure services to leverage and how to configure them to ensure that they were cost effective, secure and scalable. LefeWare Solutions also helped CAE in setting up its enterprise Data Lake for capturing, analyzing and transforming data in order to gain useful insights for sales and upper stakeholders.
CAE required LefeWare Solutions to obtain Controlled Goods security clearance by the Canadian government in order to work on this project as well as sign strict NDAs about the work. Therefore a full case study on this project was not possible.
